Live updates: A14 closed after lorry crash leaves tomato puree on road

The A14 is currently closed following a crash involving two lorries on the road yesterday evening (June 1).

The crash caused a large amount of tomato puree to be spilled all over the road.

The carriageway[1] is expected to be closed until lunchtime, Highways England said.

The road is closed heading westbound between the M11[2] (J31) and the Brampton Hut Interchange (J21) after the crash around 7.10pm on Tuesday night.

The incident involved two lorries, one of which lost its load and damaged the road. The road is now being resurfaced this morning (June 2).

Diversions are in place which will update below in our live traffic blog below.
