Roads are being closed and public transport cancelled as Storm Ciara batters North Wales. Fallen trees and flooding have sparked road closures across the region, while ferries, trains and buses have also been badly affected by the major storm. Winds have reached more than 80mph in some places, with torrential downpours adding to the delays.

Motorists are being urged to avoid all but essential travel as road conditions deteriorate, while people using public transport are being urged to check before they travel.
